There already are plenty of stuff to make us feel sad and disappointed every day. How to renew your mind is a frequently asked question. Life can be a mess at times and our peace of mind is often disturbed. In many cases, we don’t have the proper point of view to look at the infinite possibilities in life.

Your mind narrates how your actions will be. What you are currently doing is based on your mindset too. If your mind is not clear then nothing can make you feel good, sometimes everyday life can seem to be a struggle.

It is really important to keep your mind open and renew it from time to time. You can also say that it is much like refocusing your mind because it can get tired. In this article, we will explore several possible ways to keep your mind fresh and prevent it from getting tired not only for today or temporally but in a permanent way.

This might sound like an obvious step and something that you probably won’t want to do because of too much effort to put in. I hated reading even though I was fond of writing. Once, I was given an assignment to read a book on human behavior. The book was an impressive one but the thing that I realized was this: When you read a book you begin to explore beyond your perspective. Reading a book means experiencing everything that the author had experienced throughout his or her lifetime.

Honestly, if I had not read that book I would never have obtained that perspective, let alone implementing it in my life. The only motive here is to obtain information which your mind does not have already and see things from a point of view which you did not know existed.

We lose ourselves in books, we find ourselves there too.

Some people might make an excuse that they don’t have time to read a book just like I made. Later, I found it to be the most stupid excuse because for me reading a book even for 10 minutes worked as it was better than not reading at all. Now, what kind of books you want to read that depends on you. It can be a storybook or a novel or self-help and motivating books. Personality I am drawn towards books related to psychology, human behavior, life improvement, and so on.

In a nutshell, if you are not reading a book even for 10 minutes then you are losing out on some precious information that can tremendously improve your life.

Tip 2: Start Watching Meaningful Videos

Another popular way of renewing your mind is by watching some good videos. Fortunately, we are in the 21st century and tons of information is available for free. This includes watching motivational videos that reminds you about how life is much more than the petty things we often chase. The idea here is again to widen your perspective and renew your mind.

One thing that I would like to remind you here is that watching motivational videos might gives you that spark for some time but if you want to it have a permanent effect, you must think about it yourself. It would not be wrong to say that most of our problems come from overthinking. We often chase temporary and superficial stuff and feel sad when we don’t achieve it. What you want to do is, always stay in connection with reality and think practically about everything.

This doesn’t mean that you should not watch movies or think about fictional characters but just don’t chase something that would never come to reality.

For example, students in India are often found to take a burden of competitive examinations in their high school under the pressure of their parents. Most of them know deep within that it is impractical to compete in such exams for them as they might never get a chance but they still keeps stressing about it and chase it, instead of thinking practically.

When you start thinking practically you figure out there is not so much that you should stress about. Moreover staying in reality helps you to keep your life real unlike some people who live in fantasies. This tip will keep renewing your mind.

One of the most neglected factors is that exercise can boost your brain function and mood. This is not only due to external factors but is also related to hormones that give you joy called endorphins. Exercise leads to better brain functioning by producing new brain cells called neurons. In a way, this helps you to think more clearly and keeps your mental health good.

An additional tip that you can follow is that you should eat healthy as well. You are basically what you eat. Hence, living a good lifestyle with good nutrition and physical activity will keep your mind healthy and renewed. If you have not started exercising yet it might seem too much at start. However, the truth is that you only need to start in a small amount such as exercising 15 minutes a day and you will feel some change in a week.

Storing negative thoughts in our mind can do a lot of damage. This is exactly what we do at times, our perspective becomes dark and we ignore logic. There can be many ups and downs in life including emotional problems, failures, self-doubt and so on. One thing that we should never stop doing is applying logic in every negative situation.

Logic will help us to see things neutrally. For example, teenagers nowadays go through breakups and begin to think that they will never get someone who understands them again. Thinking emotionally puts their mind into a negative situation. This, ultimately leads to depression. This type of thinking shows that they only focus on the negative aspect of every situation avoiding the positive aspect entirely. To avoid this, you must always think rationally and logically which will again help you to renew your mind.

Another fruitful habit that you can start is meditation. As mentioned earlier, we mostly worry about problems that don’t exist. Therefore to renew your mind constantly you might want to keep reminding yourself what you should focus on.

Tip 8: Stop Thinking About People and Things You Can’t Control

There are a lot of things that we go through in a day. Many good and bad things happen and people behave with us either positively or negatively throughout our day. Almost 90% of our problems come from situations and people we can’t control but we want to control. We blame the world and the people and say that the cause of our sadness is external, wish that the world was different or that some particular person was different.

One thing that we don’t love to accept is that we can’t control every situation and any person. The moment you realize this the reason of your sadness vanishes.

All you have to do is accept. Accept people and things as the way they are. This is not as easy as it sounds but trying to change things that you can’t can be disastrous.

All of this might sound very obvious but, trust me, most people are spending their time giving out negative energy, comparing themselves with other people, hating others secretly, and holding lifelong grudges.

Such people can never have good mental health, let alone renew their minds. So, start putting yourself as the top priority from this moment itself.
